On Saturday 7th December 2024, the Regional Delegate of Arts and Culture for the South West Mme Doris ITOE BIE epse ANGOULA was guest at the Maiden Edition of Monde Cultural Festival. The festival that was organized by HRM KWAMI B. NANGOH chief of Monde village was placed under the Leadership of HRM Chief Naliomo Dr. Robert ESUKA ENDELEY Paramount Ruler for Buea and had as theme “Culture as a Catalyst for Sustainable Development: Empowering the Next Generation”. Activities included:
– traditional dances
– wrestling
– speeches
– display of cult dance
The Regional Delegate in her speech appreciated the Chief and his traditional council for organizing a cultural jamboree of that magnitude and applauded their bravery for taking such initiative in an area that is yet to experience calmness from the crisis that is plaguing South West Region.
The high point of the Cultural Festival was the recognition given to the Regional Delegate and was crown as “NYANG’A WANA” meaning “Mother of Children” in Monde Village
