«TUKUBUM CULTURAL FESTIVAL »

The Secretary General on behalf of the Minister of Arts and Culture, received His Royal Highness Fon KWANGA Peter Yai II, Paramount Fon of Bum, accompanied by the Fon of Kimbi and a huge delegation of elites amongst which Dr Ngong Divine, Mr Chia Yong Stephen, Prince Tam Yai, Pa Samuel Chia and others.
The audience focused on the upcoming Tukubum cultural festival and the need for the construction of a museum to house the rich cultural artefacts in this community. The audience was an opportunity for H.R.Ms to present the project to the Minister and to sollicite the accompaniment of the ministry.
The SG of Ministère des Arts et de la Culture – MINAC and the technical directors present assured the traditional authorities of the patronage of the ministry as it is part of its regalian responsibilities towards the communities.
The SG of the ministry of Arts and Culture dished out the instructions of the Minister which is to put in place a work group that will accompany the organizing committee till the festival.
The Tukubum Cultural Festival is scheduled to take place from November 20 to 23, 2025, in Fonfuka, Northwest Region.
